Consent to Treat & Liability Waiver
In Prime Equine’s commitment to provide an outstanding and professional experience to all of our clients and out of consideration for our time, we have adopted the following policies:
SESSION PREPARATION
Please be ready for your appointment(s) 10 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time so your animal is clean, dry, ready and relaxed. Please ensure hooves are picked and your horse is (ideally) wearing a nylon web or leather halter.
Please have your horse secured in a location that is quiet and comfortable to them. Out of the elements is preferred, and shade structure is mandatory for Arizona summer clients.
It is best to avoid areas of high traffic and commotion (ie. main barn aisle during feed or stall cleaning time). If your horse is herd bound or easily distracted it is encouraged for them to have a friend nearby.
It is important that your horse has had a full meal within 30 minutes of the session.
Please do not fly spray your horse, I travel with an effective and non toxic spray that will be applied that is safe for my working hands on your horse's body.
If you have not, please watch the (free) Balance Through Movement Method Introduction to Pillar 1 video.
LATE ATTENDANCE POLICY
Late arrivals made 15 minutes after scheduled start time will be automatically cancelled and charged according to our cancellation policy.
At the discretion of Prime Equine, we may be able to accommodate a partial or full appointment for late arrivals. To be fair and courteous to everyone’s time, your service(s) may be shortened in order to keep on schedule. Please let us know if you are going to be late by texting/calling 306-229-9772
CANCELLATION POLICY
Any appointments not canceled within 24 hours, no-show appointments, OR if you are more than 15 minutes late for your scheduled time are subject to our cancellation policy fees.
Cancellation fees are as follows:
- Cancellation fee is $50
- No-show fee is $100
We value our time as well as yours, and cancellations or no-shows do cost us money.
We understand that unanticipated events occur in everyone's life. Cancellation policies may be waived at the discretion of Prime Equine
TRAVEL
Travel fees will be charged for clients requiring one-off trips outside regularly scheduled rotations.
Travel charge is calculated as follows:

Prime Equine agrees not to hold the owner responsible for any injury that may occur to her during the appointment. (e.g. from a bite or kick).

EXISTING AND NEW MEDICAL CONDITIONS
It is the responsibility of the client to keep Prime Equine informed of any medical treatment, current medications, or changes in the animal’s health condition. If necessary, the client may be asked to obtain written permission from the veterinarian, chiropractor, physical therapist, or other health professionals that our services are safe to continue.
VETERINARY DISCLAIMER
Equine Bodywork is not, nor intended to be, a substitute for veterinary medicine. It is a complementary form of health care. Signs of lameness or illness are contraindications to equine bodywork. The owner is advised to consult a veterinarian prior to the animal receiving body work with any medical concerns or questions and/or to verify with the veterinarian that body work is appropriate for the specific animal in question
If your horse is currently being seen by a veterinarian, the owner has cleared this work with the attending veterinarian to ensure bodywork is at this time appropriate for the horse. The owner acknowledges that muscle and nerve releases may result in underlying muscle mechanisms being exposed that were previously masked through compensatory movements.
Adelle Stewart is an insured Equine Bodyworker, and NOT a veterinarian, and therefore is not able to answer any medical questions nor diagnose or treat any illness or disease. For an introduction to the modalities utilized please visit www.btmm.link/pillarone
